MADRID, 18 March (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 23-year-old Palestinian, named Omar Jasib, was killed by Israeli fire on Friday night north of the city of Ramallah.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Health reported that Jasib was shot by Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint at the entrance to the city.
Jasib was transported by the Israeli army in a critical condition, but was declared dead a few minutes later.
Israeli soldiers blocked a Palestinian ambulance and Palestinian medical personnel from reaching the injured Palestinians and blocked them to traffic.
However, 89 Palestinians have been killed so far this year by security forces and Palestinian settlers, including several minors and an elderly woman.
